Yoga provides the individual with a place to let go.

I began my yoga practice over 15 years ago. At the encouragement of a dear friend, whom knew the stresses in my life, it was literally a breath of fresh air. I had never done yoga prior, and found the focus on the breath while moving the most rewarding. My head cleared, I remained grounded, and found myself exhilarated by the many poses that were presented to me. I knew I had found something that could assist me in feeling better, staying connected to my better self, and allow daily stresses to subside.

yogaAfter many years of practicing Anusara yoga, it became apparent that it was time to dig deeper into my studies. I began teaching and occasionally subbing classes, when I was awarded a training and found myself heading to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. The 200 hour –month long training certified me as a yoga teacher and was a most valuable, life altering experience. Once completed, I became official from the Yoga Alliance for Hatha/Vinyasa Flow yoga. My teaching continues as I offer classes at a local facility as well as private sessions at Feng Shui Studios and my client’s homes/offices.

Yoga provides the individual with a place to let go of outside concerns and focus on the breath and the body. It is my joy and passion to share my knowledge on the mat. We take time to practice meditation, pranayama (breath work), and asana (movement) and occasionally engage in chanting to enable our bodies and mind to connect to ourselves and the inner world.
